Spa City Reykjavík
- News

One of Iceland's primary natural resources is thermal water. Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, has vast reserves of thermal water that are utilized in a variety of ways, including electricity production and space heating. Another important use of this resource is to increase wellness. In this connection two new wellness centers are being constructed in Laugardalur Valley, the city’s large, multifaceted recreation and sports complex near city center. Early in 2004 a threestory 7,100 m2 health spa is scheduled to open its doors. In addition to a fully equipped fitness center, the spa will offer numerous services, including various kinds of massages, pedicures, manicures, facials and medical services. The pride of the spa will be a consummate bathhouse, which will include several types of baths along with ideal facilities for rest and relaxation.
