Searching for the Arctic Fox

In the summer of 2006, West Tours in Isafjordur will operate for the first time in Iceland Fox Watching tours in Hornstrandir Nature Reserve.

The Arctic Fox was the only land mammal living in Iceland when the settlers came in the ninth century, living here in the nature�s harmony.

Hornstrandir Nature Reserve has Iceland�s most dense Arctic Fox population, making it a great place for watching them in their natural environment.

The guide of the tour is a biologist who has studied the Arctic Fox extensively, puts emphasis on connecting the fox to the ecology, history, cohabitations with humans and last but not least, the biology of the region.
