ICELAND RESTAURANT MAKES CONDE NAST TRAVELER'S "HOT LIST"

Siggi Hall is One of the World's Most Exciting New Restaurants

Iceland's French-trained TV chef, Siggi Hall, set out to create an epicurean masterpiece with his new restaurant, and he did just that. The Siggi Hall at Odinsve restaurant in Reykjavik, recently landed a place in the May 2001 Conde Nast Travelers "Hot Spots" issue listing the top 100 "Hot Tables"- the world's most exciting new restaurants. According to the magazine, Sigg Hall is one of the world's "newest, hottest, and best places to eat."

Conde Nast Traveler reaches approximately 800,000 readers who are frequent, diverse and experienced travelers.

Since its opening in January 2000, local power brokers, residents and visitors alike have satisfied their appetites at Siggi Hall, making a seat at a table in this restaurant as hot as the restaurant itself.

Siggi Hall satisfies the quest for the perfect meal with tasty dishes of fresh, organic, local ingredients, perfectly executed with surprising Mediterranean twists.

It has taken 30 years for Siggi's passion for food to grow, but he's found love in his cuisine emporium. Hall's glory days are as a result of spending many hours slaving behind a hot stove and toiling in the kitchen. His experiences are as varied as his menu. He's held positions as chef at the Sheraton in Copenhagen, Norway's Lindstrom Hotel, the Laxa in Kjos, the famous salmon river lodge, and various official Icelandic receptions, locally and abroad. In fact, when Iceland launched a replica Viking ship to commemorate Leif Eiriksson's 1,000th anniversary of the discovery of North America, Siggi brought his unique blend of Icelandic cuisine to media and VIP's along the New England coast.

Siggi has also run his own restaurant, Skarvet; has written and published two best-selling cookbooks; and managed the Icelandic Culinary Team. He has starred on Icelandic television since l992 in over 250 episodes as the country's most famous chef.

Iceland may be small geographically, but recent exposure in Conde Nast Traveler proves it's a big player among the world's best restaurants.
