Puffin Cam Takes Off

According to Internet history, the first Web cam was showed a coffee pot at Cambridge University in 1993. Boy have we got that beat with Iceland’s first Puffin Cam. In the summer, there are approximately four to six million Atlantic puffins breeding in the hills of the Westman’s largest island,
Heimaey (pop. 4,300). Now you can keep an eye on these parrots of the sea with the new Puffin Cam, recently installed outside the main town. What’s more, from your laptop you can pan left or right, zoom in or out, or tilt up or down. We’ll drink to that. (See these comical birds at: http://puffin.eyjar.is/view/index.shtml).
