Icelandair Washington DC Photo Contest!
In celebration of Icelandair’s flights from Washington, D.C., Icelandair is holding a photo contest to send one lucky winner and a guest on the trip of a lifetime. Icelandair will begin service from Washington Dulles International on May 17, 2011 with non-stop flights to Iceland and connecting flights to Europe, Scandinavia and The U.K.
As part of the competition, Icelandair is searching for the best photo connecting Washington, D.C. to Iceland. Take a picture of yourself eating Skyr in front of Ben’s Chili Bowl, make a funny pose in front of an Icelandair ad on the Metro or sport a Viking hat during a Nationals game. Get creative and show some spirit for Icelandair’s newest home, Washington, D.C.
The Icelandair Washington, D.C. photo competition is open to anyone that is 18 years or older with a current passport, and the winner of the photo contest will receive 2 round-trip tickets on Icelandair’s inaugural flight from Washington Dulles International Airport to Iceland on May 17, 2011, 2 nights hotel at the Icelandair Hotel Loftleidir, a Blue Lagoon tour, and a Golden Circle tour.
Those interested in being a part of this exciting competition should post their best photo showing the link between Iceland and Washington, D.C. on www.icelandair.us/dc
Once all of the photos are online, get your friends, family, and everyone you possibly can to vote for your photo on www.icelandair.us/dc. Photo submissions will begin at 11:00 AM EST on April 18th, with voting starting May 2nd and ending May 12th. The photo with the most votes at 12:00 PM EST on May 12th, pending approval, will be declared the winner
