Iceland Express, a low-cost airline from Iceland, has announced that it will now offer flights from the United States and Canada this summer. Flights from New York will depart Newark airport to Reykjavik and beyond beginning June 1, and will depart Monday through Thursday using all Boeing 757 aircraft. Flights will depart from Winnipeg starting June 5, and depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In addition to Iceland, the airline flies to 21 popular destinations in Europe. Travelers to Europe have the option to stopover in Iceland without any extra airfare. Iceland Express has no length-of-stay restrictions, no Sunday rule, easy online booking and e-ticketing. Their web site, IcelandExpress.com, offers insight into fun things to do in Iceland, and also has links to book day tours, hotels and car rental.
